Meet The Team

01

Scott Gaitskell

  • Application development
  • Hosted infrastructure
  • Headset sales

Scott has spent his entire career at CallTech, on telephony hardware and software.

Active Response is his: the call-out system that took Perth Airport's team assembly from about 30 minutes to under 3. So is the On-Call Router, which handles Western Power's after-hours calls, and Voice Logger, the standalone recorder built for Codan that became Recordari. Every application CallTech sells, he wrote and maintains, on telephony servers he built and runs. There is no third party between the customer and the person who can fix it.

That reach goes below the software. When a recording problem is in the network layer, and it usually is, Scott goes into the packet captures and finds the fault, whether it's the PBX, the radio system or the switch that's causing it.

For customers moving from another recorder to one CallTech supports, he writes the tools that bring the archive across. Nothing gets left behind.

Steve Hare

  • Call recording
  • Installation and training
  • Recorder health checks

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science from Murdoch University, majoring in Computer Science and Information Systems, and worked in IT locally and internationally before joining CallTech in 2004.

Every recorder CallTech has supplied, Steve scoped, installed and trained the users on. That includes the recorders on INPEX's two offshore facilities in the Browse Basin and the WA Police communications centre. He is also the one who takes the call when something needs troubleshooting.

No recorder update reaches a customer site until Steve has tested it. He runs every release against CallTech's own systems first, and signs it off before it goes anywhere near a customer. When a recorder is due for migration or a major upgrade, he plans and carries it out.

Every six months he checks each recorder CallTech supports: confirming it is capturing what it should, that storage and retention are on track, and catching the faults that would otherwise surface as a missing recording on the day it mattered.

Talk to the people who will support it.

The engineer who scopes your system is the one who commissions it and answers the phone afterwards. Tell us what you need and we'll take it from there.
